TOPIC: CURSE IS EVERYONE WHO HUNG ON A TREE.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] everyone that hangeth on a tree: (Galatians 3:13)
From the natural point of view, Jesus died a premature death but as God, He never died because God cannot die. Because He is God, He laid down His life. We saw that day as a good day because he reconciled us to God. Since it was on a Good Friday whatever went wrong in our life shall be made good.
It was in God’s divine plan and agenda for Jesus to die in a particular season. In the Babylonian empire for capital punishment, the person had to be cast into a fiery furnace or thrown into the den of lions. Jesus came at the right time when the Roman Empire enforced that everyone who committed a capital sin should be hung on a tree.
Why did he choose to be accursed? Why did he decide to go through that? Why a curse? Christ Jesus was crucified on the tree so that we might be redeemed from the consequences of sin.
For it was written “And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged [is] accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance” (Deuteronomy 21:22-23)
They mocked him king of the Jew but hung Him on the tree. We will hang you on the cross to prove that you are not our king. Whatever was written down in the manual of your destiny I pray that no power will manipulate you so that you might increase the form and pattern of things you were meant to go through so that finally it will end in glory. By increasing their time frame you might enter into error.
They never knew that God had penned down that Jesus should go through the cross. Whatever is sent to eat you up shall eat up itself.
May the death of Jesus help you to go through life’s journey with wisdom and understanding.
MEDITATION:
Because I receive sound doctrine, I shall bear fruit of righteousness according to the type of messages I receive.
PRAYERS:
1. Lord Jesus help me always to appreciate your death and resurrection for it was for my redemption.
2. Abba Father whoever wants to increase my sorrow or pain after the finished work at Calvary arise as the mighty Man in battle, Lion of the tribe of Judah, and roar against them in their altar, throne, and palaces and set me free from their manipulations in the name of Jesus.
