TOPIC: TAKING CHARGE 3
“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong”.( 1 Corinthians 16:13)
If events around your life whether good or bad are not minuted, it means you are gradually killing your enthusiasm, aspiration, optimism, and ambition in life. You can take charge of depression and regrets in life because of the synergy drawn from the minutes of events around your life.
There are four powerful words in (1 Corinthians 16:13) that will characterize the man or woman who must be in charge or in control of the affairs of his/her life.
Watch: contextually, it means to keep your head no matter what happens. It means to keep a clear mind. It means to control yourself irrespective of what is happening. With a clear mind irrespective of what is happening you will be able to control yourself, and with a clear mind, you will be able to keep your head high irrespective of the challenge or situation or condition and circumstance.
Scripturally, (2 Timothy 4:5) says “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry”. Make full proof of your ministry, make full proof of your mission in life. Make full proof of whatever you find yourself doing. Proof to everyone both friends and foes that this is what you live for and that you can do it at any moment whether the situation around you is ugly or beautiful. Never you allow, how you are and where you think you are now to cage your mental capacity. Don’t allow situations of life to darken what God planted in you.
Believe that one day you shall be transplanted from among them and be set on a higher level, and they will look up to you. (1 Peter 4:7) “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer”. Stand fast connotes military alertness and readiness – a mindset to resist and subdue all kinds of uprisings. Ephesians 6:11 says Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Press on inspite of the press. Don’t be discouraged.
MEDITATION:
I refused to allow situations of life to darken my destiny
PRAYER:
1. Every satanic weapon fashioned against my kingdom’s birthright scatter and backfire by fire in Jesus mighty name we pray.
2. Lord Jesus, let your love overshadow me in Jesus’ name.
