DEALING WITH DIVIDED LOYALTY
THURSDAY 9TH JUNE 2022
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matt. 6: 22-24
Why some people come to church from year to year without being blessed is because they have biased mind and they have a prediction of the type of message that should proceeds from the altar which they claim to believe. But when what they expected to hear is not what they hear, they lock up their mind and heart against God’s word and they are not blessed. Sometimes we mistakenly take God for a magician. God is a miracle worker and miracle comes through acts of mercy and its actually God’s own prerogative. God knows how to do it, when to do it and how to do it.
Loyalty is devoted allegiance, to devote means to give or to apply attention or one’s self completely to a course, institution, an activity or purpose. Allegiance will have to do with fidelity or obligation to the church, the leadership of the church or to the culture or philosophy of the church.
Divided loyalty is divided devotion, obligation or loyalty to the leadership, culture or philosophy of your church. It also means divided availability, divided commitment and divided mind. With a divided mind, your commitment is questionable. With a divided availability your devotion is questionable. With a divided attention your actions are questionable. The questionability of your action, loyalty and availability may not manifest early but with time, it will speak the doubt.
MEDITATION:
I fixed my heart and mind to hear only the word of God for the energizing of my faith.
PRAYERS:
1. I come against any evil priest praying for my downfall in Jesus name.
2. By the power of the word, I destroy every power that wants to disconnect me from my faith in God in Jesus name.
