What do you stand for as a soldier of the cross

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (2 Peter 2:1-6)
In every generation there is a people God can depend on. Who do you stand for? It takes courage to stand for the truth. It takes courage also to stand for God. Many have known the truth but can’t stand for the truth. Their freedom is very far from them and they remain in extreme captivity. Some know but can’t stand for it simply because of the lust of power and recognition they bury the truth.
In order not to bury the truth you must guard your heart against the quest for recognition, the quest for unconditional acceptance and forceful appreciation which simply means don’t rebuke me don’t correct me just keep applauding me. This is destruction in disguise.
When God want to overthrow someone from his house, he takes away rebuke from the heart of his/ her spiritual father or mentor. May God help you not to be too familiar with the word of God and your man of God.
MEDITATION: Nothing shall make me remain on the ground of ignorance.
PRAYERS:
1. Lord by your mercy make me a celebrity in your kingdom even though I don’t deserve it.
2. My father and my maker deliver me from the spirit of lustful desire I don’t want to kill myself cheaply.
