THE LORD OF HOST

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, [and] we should have been like unto Gomorrah. (Isaiah 1:9)
Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. (Psalm 80:7)
Each time the Lord of Host is mentioned, it means God is out to fight. He is called into action. The Lord of Host is the military name of God. The man of war. When the storms of life and agents of darkness want to swallow you, arise and call on the Lord of Host.
Hannah was the first to call on the Lord of Host. In 1 Samuel 1:11 Hannah cried out of shame, agony, fear and pain saying Lord I am calling you into this situation because I am alone in this case.
The Lord of Host does not go into battle alone most times but also takes His host into battle and it is important we know this Host.
They are the angels who surround the throne of God. 1 Kings 22:19. If God is not alone you are not alone also. They are also sent by God to guard people. 2Kings6: 17.
They are the natural forces which are more powerful than humans. They include: thunder, rain, hail, storm, lightening, earthquake, landslide etc. Isaiah 29:6
The host is an army with heavenly power to help God’s people. They are sent to bring counsel, comfort and encouragement. They are divine announcers on the earth to Gods people. Luke 2:13-14. I see good news swallow up every bad news in your home.
They are the forces and army God raises against his own people when they are disobedient. Judges 6:1-3, Joel2:24
MEDITATION:
I am encouraged by the word of God and I know I am not alone in any situation I find myself, the Lord of Host is with me.
PRAYERS:
1. My father and my maker in any way I have walked myself into destruction through disobedience may your mercy locate me and let the Host sent against me be turned to my guards and defense
2. Lord I repent of every wave of fear I have allow to swallow me because of my ignorance turn to me oh Lord of Host and cause my enemy to vomit me.
