“O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people”( Psalm 105:1).
The benefits of thanksgiving cannot be overemphasized most especially when it is done in the right way. Below are some of the gains of Thanksgiving
– Thanksgiving gives wings to prayers to fly. Paul and Silas prayed and sang in the prison. Thanksgiving songs took over from the praying gear, thereby attracting divinity to their rescue. God is great! (Acts 16:25)
– Thanksgiving also entails appreciation in anticipation.
– It provides the atmosphere for judgment. It provokes divinity into action. For this to happen, your eyes must be fixed on God. The more you look at your problems, the bigger they become. Look up to God as your Helper in life (Hebrews 12:2)
– It is risky for any child of God not to be thankful while desiring God’s blessing.
– Thanksgiving is a key to supernatural increase and multiplication (John 6:11).
– It is an act that gets God committed to doing more for us (Luke 17:14-15)
– It is an attitude that creates more opportunity to be favoured and blessed, before God and man.
When you thank God for something, you are indirectly or directly asking for more, and God is ever ready to oblige.
MEDITATION:
I am a beneficiary of God’s mercy.
PRAYER
1. My redeemer, go ahead and scatter the plans of the enemy intending to rob me of my testimony in Jesus name
2. Lord may songs of praise never cease to flow from my mouth in Jesus name
