TOPIC: SERVE HIM HUMBLY
“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5)
Anyone who serves God with a proud mind set or mentality will be side lined by God directly or indirectly. It takes grace for you to take up kingdom responsibility to the letter according to the demands of the owner of the work which is our father (God). When grace is withdrawn from someone because of pride then destruction sets in (the mentality or sense of I know everything I don’t need anybody to teach me or direct me, am above supervision) it might be good to live above supervision provided you know what you are doing and you are doing it rightly according to the demands, protocols and according to the precept and principles.
He did not make himself equal with God as a matter of seeking for position and control (Philip. 2:6). He disrobed himself of his crown in heaven, he didn’t come down to earth as a mighty angel rather he disrobed himself of his position and as the maker of all things, through him was everything made and nothing was made that was made without Him but He came down to serve humanity
“All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made” John 1:3
In humility, for the sake of service he decided to be incubated in the womb of a woman, born as a baby, grew up under earthly parents, and was corrected and rebuked when wrong. Just because he wanted to learn the how men live on earth so as to redeem mankind. He was 100% true God.
For one to render acceptable and profitable services unto the Lord capable of yielding result, here on earth and the life yet to come one must be humble. We humble ourselves so that we won’t be humbled by God, because if God comes to humble a man it may be disastrous.
MEDITATION:
By divine authority, I refuse to be swallowed up by any situation that may come my way.
PRAYER:
- Lord, deliver me from every slavery mentality through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Lord, empower me with grace to overcome every evil intimidation in Jesus name.
