NECESSITY FOR GODLY CHARACTER

WONDERWORLD CAPSULES BY APST. JORDAN AKADA

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits, ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:16-20)

Godly character builds the future and defines human destiny. Great future is largely built on Godly character in God’s kingdom (Matthew 7:16-20). You need to build up Godly character in all areas of your life: business, marriage, career, ministry, etc.

It is essential in order to represent God and His son, Jesus Christ properly here on earth.

The absence of good and Godly character has destroyed so many people and denied them great opportunities. Such people sometimes may have other requirements or qualifications, but if the character is faulty, they lose out. The recommendation of such people might look good but unreliable. They may appear very neat, but saucy and haughty. They may speak good English, but very arrogant and proud. They may look good but lack integrity.

A Godly character serves as a ladder to any laudable and enviable height in life. It can take you to the mountain top of huge success and massive achievements.

It produces a heart of contentment generally. “For godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out.” (1 Timothy 6:6-10)

It guarantees divine guidance and direction. Uprightness brings direction “unto the upright, there ariseth light in darkness: he is gracious and full of compassion and righteousness” (Psalm112:4)

It makes you a voice to reckon with. The silence of people of Godly character weighs heavier than the speech of others. Job was a man of Godly character. He commanded both the audience and the attention of the people on the strength of his (character) (Job 29:20-23). Always endeavor to always work on your character; improve on it. Let it reflect Christ’s character and identity all the time. Jesus Christ is our model!

MEDITATION: I am the light of the world a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.

PRAYERS:

1. Lord, may I not serve in your presence and be covered by evil web of the enemy. Let the heaven of commendation and recommendation be open for me in Jesus name.

2. My father and my Maker, I am an ambassador of the kingdom, bless me with what it takes to make my voice count in the name of Jesus.
