There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom [is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, [I say], thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, [and] soothsayers;

For as much as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.( Daniel 5:11-12)

Excellence is more of a spiritual nature than ordinary

Functions of an Excellent Spirit

1. It enhances restoration and establishment in life and pursuit. “At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me” (Daniel 4:36)

2. It enhances Knowledge and Understanding [Dan 5:12]

3. It enhances interpretation of complicated divination and offers solutions to complicated problems

4. It produces insight, intelligence and outstanding wisdom [Proverbs 17:27] A man of understanding dwells with the living

5. It attracts preferential treatment. Daniel 6:3 “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm”. This shall be your portion henceforth the topmost top in Jesus name.

MEDITATION:

An excellent spirit and the spirit of might is upon me to manifest kingdom glory
