THE LIFE OF PURITY
THURSDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2023
WONDERWORLD CAPSULES BY APST. JORDAN AKADA
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart”.( Psalm 73:1).
A life of purity involves thorough self-discipline. It’s a deliberate choice. For a Christian, the life of purity means a life that is free from contamination or guilt, life free from sin. We live in a grossly immoral society where anything goes. We are living dangerously as we have returned to the days of Noah and Lot. This is an hour of enormous need, and the great need of the hour is for the people of God to maintain purity. One major condition to access God is purity of heart (Psalm 24:4).
What then is purity?
Purity means condition or quality of being pure, and freedom from anything that defiles, contaminates or pollutes. It has to do with what you choose in every part of your life. It means choosing to please God more than anything else.
The purity that is required of you
Purity inside out, purity in behavior (1 Timothy 5:2), and in spirituality (1 Timothy 5:22) are required of us as believers. This type of purity can only be achieved through the purifying blood of Jesus and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
The Admonition of God in 1Timothy 4:12
God is calling you and I to set example in word, conservation, charity, spirit, faith, and in purity. The life of purity involves the following: no sexual wrong doing in theory and practice (1Thess. 5:22, Prov. 4:23) no fooling around in secrecy (Galatians 5:16) no messing around with someone’s else partner, no pornography of any category (Proverbs 25, Job 31:1)
We should have nothing to do with what is labelled immoral in our hearts, with our eyes, and with our bodies. Don’t play with fire or you’ll get hurt badly.
MEDITATION: Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty just and true are thy ways.
PRAYERS:
1. My father and my maker, I surrender myself to your leading, help me not to derail from the path of righteousness in the name of Jesus.
2. Abba father, do not turn your back on me , remember me and let your mercy turn things around for me in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
