THE CRY FROM CALVARY.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?( Matthew 27:46)
The relationship with him and his father was trashed. It was no more of father and son. It was now God and a man. He looked at himself not as God but as a mortal being. Forsaken rejected, abandoned, left to face it by himself. To face the pain without succor from above. Forsaken for your sake and for my sake. The sin of the whole earth was upon him. God is too righteous to relate with sin. I can’t call you my son, you are just like any other mortal being. I can’t call you my son because I have nothing to do with iniquity.
Why did God turn his back on his son? Why did not also the son know the reason why the father has forsaken him. Why would the blood have to be shed for sin to be forsaken? Why Jesus. Why the Lamb. Why crucify him. The lamb that was slain from the foundation of the earth.
John said behold the lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world. He who created the angel was also surprise that angels also rejected him. He was surprised that the human being he created also rejected him. Our high priest who lay down his life once and for all. Those who rose up against Aaron were not from the tribe of Simeon but from the Levite.
In every church, ushers will not attack a chorister it is an usher who will attack a fellow usher. The people from the tribe of Levite were the people who fought Aaron and Moses. Jesus deliberately abstained from using his omnipresence force. he deliberately chose to remain on the cross.
“My God my God why has thou forsaken me”. Forsaken that he might become the first born from the death from all the brethren. Where shall we find men and brethren who are forsaken because of the master. Where is that man or woman who say they may forsake me but I will not lose my confession, I will not lose my bible?
MEDITATION:
The expression of his glory upon us shall not expire before he comes.
PRAYER:
1. My father and my Maker I chose not to silence the voice of the cross in my life daily in Jesus name.
2.The price was paid for me to gain the prize eternally therefore you Accuser of brethren you have fail in my life, for Jesus is my Lord and personal saviour forever.
