“[To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed” (Titus 2:5)
Discretion is the ability to know the best course of action for achieving your goals. It is knowledge and understanding with purpose.
There are people who claim to be knowledgeable, claim to have understood but they are purposeless in life, and having all this does not take them anywhere.
So knowledge and understanding in life become useful because you have a purpose in life and you understand that purpose. Knowledge is to be acquired and applied, understanding is to be acquired and applied in the purpose which God created you for.
This kind of knowledge enables you to make the right choices that will protect you from blonder and their consequences. Most of the things we call mistakes are not really mistakes, but acts of ignorance.
– “And for that, the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; [it is] because the thing [is] established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass” (Genesis 41:32 KJV)
There is something that shall drop in your spirit and it is called the virtue of discretion and the way you will start doing things people shall begin to say this man/woman has changed, he/she is no more the person we used to know.

The Importance Of Discretion

• Discretion sets you above your equals even in a strange land.
• Discretion gives your word power and authority keeping you in control of everything.
“Thou shalt be over my house, and according to unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou” (Genesis 41:40 KJV).
It is not enough to speak in tongues, thank you for the Bible but let this Bible plant in our discretion in the Name of Jesus. There’s no wrong mathematical formula like a woman to marry a man who is not discrete and vice versa.
• Absence of discretion makes a beautiful woman tasteless (no moral sensitivity) your beauty will be put to wrong use if there’s no discretion.
“[As] a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion” (Proverbs 11:22 KJV).
So as a woman, discretion gives you taste that makes your husband enjoy you.
• Discretion makes you be sought for.
“Now, therefore, let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34. Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is” (Genesis 41:33-34,39 KJV)
• Discretion is a supernatural tool for kingdom service and successful home management.
“That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed” (Titus 2:4-5 KJV).
• Godly character helps you to conduct yourself wisely so that the gospel is not discredited.
MEDITATION:
Lord input in me the spirit of discretion, help me to live a worthy life.
PRAYER:
1. In the name of Jesus, I receive the spirit of discretion into my body, soul, and spirit.
2. From today there shall be an outstanding change in the way I think, reason, talk, and in everything I do in Jesus name.

TOPIC: GODLY CHARACTER

 

– “[Now] the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet house: [and] the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed: There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom [is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, [I say], thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, [and] soothsayers;

Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation. Then was Daniel brought in before the king.

[And] the king spake and said unto Daniel, [Art] thou that Daniel, which [art] of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry? I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods [is] in thee, and [that] light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee. And now the wise [men], the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:” (Daniel 5:10-15)

There are levels of wisdom e.g excellent wisdom. The function of the spirit of excellence is Character or virtue. As you read through God’s word, the spirit of excellence shall be imparted to your life in the name of Jesus. What distinguishes you from other people in career pursuit, lifestyle, and interpersonal relationships is character.

 Importance of Godly Character                                    

  • It enhances restoration and establishment in life and pursuits

 “At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me” (Daniel 4:36).

  • It enhances knowledge and understanding.

 “Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation”( Daniel 5:12)

  • An excellent spirit enhances interpretation and definition of complicated issues, offers solutions to mysterious problems, and answers to uncommon questions.

 “Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation” (Daniel 5:12)

  • An excellent spirit produces insight, intelligence, and outstanding wisdom. If there’s anything you should cry for is sound insight, intelligence, and outstanding wisdom. As a child of God, you have an added advantage because you are endowed with godly attributes. You are only required to activate them through constant study of the Word.

“I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods [is] in thee, and [that] light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee”(Daniel 5:14).

“He that had knowledge spareth his words” Stop wasting your words. Hear this child of God, most of the time we shout deliverance, the truth is that nothing might be really wrong with our spirit but our mentality.

So it does not matter how many times you talk to a person with the wrong mentality; his actions are determined by his wrong mentality. “For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he”. The devil will fight you based on what you believe but he will not conquer.

MEDITATION: The word of God is life; it gives me righteous boldness as I believe in it.

PRAYER:

  1. Oh Lord change my mentality and let excellence manifest in me in Jesus name.
  2. Father, deliver me from every spirit that has marked me a dead person even when am still alive.

TOPIC: EXCELLENT SPIRIT 

      

– “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Daniel 6:3)

 

People are not recommended because they work too hard, or because of their talent, but because of their character. Some responsibilities cannot be given to certain people any where including church because of the kind of character traits they possess. It is worthy of note that we are living in the world that is growing (physically, spiritually, and scientifically) and we might term it breakthrough.

We are living in a generation (including church) where the standard will not be reduced in other to keep us. A person who has a clear cut vision and destiny to pursue should endeavor to grow up to the existing standard and not to look for means to bring the standard to his/her level.

Contextually, standard has to do with character. As Christians we are expected to measure up with the required standard in character and skill for a better living. 

An excellent spirit attracts preferential treatment. What you cannot do well when you are alone; you won’t be able to do it when you are under supervision. Supervision creates a sense of uncertainty in you (fear of making a mistake). If you can handle things excellently when there’s nobody to supervise or monitor you; you shall be preferred among others.

 “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Daniel 6:3)

Being excellent means to be of great virtue or worth. It distinguishes you for what is admirable, valued and adorable.

MEDITATION:

I live an excellent life because an excellent spirit is in me.

PRAYER:

  1. Father, set me up on high with an excellent spirit, let those who have rejected me begin to look for me by reason of the manifestation of excellence and discretion in my life in Jesus name.
  2. Lord, take away every spirit of inferiority complex and incompleteness in me in Jesus name.

TOPIC: KINGDOM SEERS 2

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? (Act 8:30)
a. Kingdom seers are people of understanding “And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears” (Isaiah 11:3) They are not baby Christians.
b. They are people of focus (Psalm 34:5). Focus is the ability to concentrate for accomplishment “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before”(Philippians 3:13)
c. They are God’s children with the ability to interpret times, seasons, and divine calendar on earth, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had the ability to interpret dreams and seasons.
Daniel 1:2-4 – “And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.
And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring [certain] of the children of Israel, and of the king’s seed, and of the princes; Children in whom [was] no blemish, but well favoured, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as [had] ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans”.
d. They are people of faith (Heb. 11:1-7)
e. They are lovers of God (1Corn. 13)
f. They are addicted followers of Christ, never given to excuses (Acts 1:12)
g. They are devoted worshipers and temple dwellers (Psalm 27:4)
h. They are people of vision (Joel 2:28)
i. They are sons and not bastards (Heb. 2:8)
j. They accept and appreciate rebukes and corrections.
MEDITATION:
The word of God has made me be well-favored and skillful in all wisdom.
PRAYER:
1. Every spirit of rising and falling in my life and family dies right now in the name of Jesus.
2. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, I terminate every manipulation that wants to draw me from God in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: SONSHIP

 

 “I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn [you]” (1 Corinthians 4:14)

 

Jesus came as a son, not as a bastard (Matthew 1:1)

Sons are gifts from God to humanity (Isaiah 9:6, John 3:16)

They don’t treat divine warnings as an insult (1 Corinthians 4:14 “I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn [you]”)

They have divine backing in their responsibilities. “[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5)

They are people who have inherited the prophetic mandate and mantle – “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17)

They are overcomers of the filthiness of this world and are entitled to kingdom riches (Revelation 21:7)

They are children of God who live to please God “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give the diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall” (Peter 1:10)

MEDITATION:

I declare that no condition or situation shall interrupt or hinder me from being a son/ daughter of  God.

 

PRAYER:

  1. Every evil altar caging my life catches fire and loose me in the name of Jesus.
  2. O’ Lord let your hand stretch out and deliver me from spiritual laziness lest the devil has a place in me in the mighty name of Jesus.

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.

And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, [then] shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. Then Abram removed [his] tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which [is] in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD. (Genesis 13:14-18)

 

Kingdom seers are expected to see the reality of the written and spoken word “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem) They are expected to see the infallibility of God’s word. “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven”(Psalm 119:89).

  1. They are expected to see the faithfulness of God “But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep [you] from evil” (2 Thessalonians 3:3) “Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it]”(1 Thessalonians 5:24)
  2. Kingdom seers are expected to see the reality of God’s presence. – “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world Amen” (Matthew 28:20). “Let brotherly love continue” ( Hebrews 13:1).

MEDITATION:

The light of God is in me and I operate under divine wisdom in everything I do.

PRAYER:

  1. Lord, I repent from the ignorance of not recognizing the light of God in me all this while.
  2. I reverse and revoke every damage the world of darkness has done to my life, health, destiny, and ministry in Jesus name.

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. LUKE 8:25

 

What manner of man that changes people from zero to hero, His mercies endures forever, He did not lie to David. Even when He thought everything was against him, the Goodness and Mercies of this manner of man (Jesus) was with him.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4)

What manner of man is this, He is the Word that no other word can be compared to, and He is the word that is with God from the beginning.

Ancestral words may say that you will never survive,  but the Word that was, in the beginning, says  “I will supply all your needs…….”

Delay and disappointment are words but the word of God is the sure word of life. Other words are sentences but the Word of God is a statement. The Word says “forever Oh Lord, thy word is settled, and His covenant cannot be broken” The Word comes with precision.

What manner of man whose word causes the barren to be fruitful, sets the captives free, delivers people from bondage, changes people stories by making the poor become rich.

So shall this manner of man (Jesus) change your story for good.

MEDITATION:

I function and operate under the authority of the almighty because the word of God has entered my spirit soul and body.

 

PRAYER:

  1. Lord, by your authority I destroy every dark and ugly trait hiding in me in Jesus name.
  2. O’ Lord let the mischief of those seeking to harm me backfire in Jesus name.

The people may have seen Prophet Jeremiah, Isaac, Moses, etc. but they had never seen a man like Jesus which led to the question “what manner of man is this?”,

What manner of man with no atom of lies or disappointment in Him. The master will change that particular thing that has created subtraction and devaluation in your life to the point that people will ask “what manner of miracle is this?”

God’s word can never fail, He won’t lie to you, why will He lie to you? Will he lie to you so that you can give him air to breathe?  Your situation is too small for God to lie to. He can never leave you for His namesake. He will not do it because of your righteousness or holiness but for His namesake, He will do it because His name is at stake, because you are called a child of God so He will arise to defend His name.

MEDITATION:

I am rooted in Christ, He alone is my all.

PRAYER:

  1. I declare total deliverance from every cloud of darkness covering my destiny in the mighty name of Jesus.
  2. Because am in Christ, I break out from every bondage of limitation, stagnation, and backwardness in Jesus name.

TOPIC: DEALING WITH WRONG HANDWRITING

 

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to the cross (Colossian 2:14)

 

When evil handwriting is sent against an individual, it makes medical science unable to ascertain what is actually wrong with them. They move from one hospital to another only to be told that; what is happening to them doesn’t require medical treatment but spiritual treatment. The intent is to manipulate the victim to move from one herbalist to another who may still be their agent. Today, whatever has claimed ownership of you had been nailed to the cross.

There is a story of a lady who was defecating and urinating uncontrollably on the eve of their wedding. She had never been found bedwetting until after their wedding. This happened because there was evil handwriting and the power behind it had been monitoring her to disgrace her. To worsen the matter, she didn’t see any wrong with that when the husband approached her.  Sadly, that was the end of that marriage. Anything waiting to create shame on your day of honour is consumed by the word of God right now.

MEDITATION:

I believe the word of God and the word is working for me.

 

PRAYER:

  1. Lord, deliver me from whatever has vowed never to stop following me in Jesus name
  2. Lord, may my life reflect evidence of the word of God in Jesus name.

And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. (Mark 16:17)

 

What follows people in some families makes them die untimely.  It makes people not to cross a certain age limit. Some people experience a slap without seeing who slaps them.

In some families, certain things follow students to school making them not to be able to study or remember what they spent the time reading. This same spirit makes police capture and kills an innocent person because what follows the person has created and put on him a wrong identity.

When the spirit of hatred follows people, it makes even siblings to hate themselves

David was a great man so loved by God because goodness and mercies accompanied him everywhere he went.. Goodness is the goodwill of people towards you, no wonder David said Goodness and Mercy shall follow me. You shall land well, things have changed for your good.

MEDITATION:

 I refuse to be distracted, the word of God is my greatest sign for victory.

PRAYER:

  1. I come against every spirit of misinterpretation of God’s sign over my life in Jesus name.
  2. I receive grace to manifest my glory in Jesus name.
