A GRATEFUL HEART
TUESDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER, 2022
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits” ( Psalms 103:1-2)
To be grateful means:
* To bring to mind what God is doing for you.
* To celebrate him and acknowledge his goodness,
* To show by your attitude that God is the giver of blessing
* To always go to him for divine counsel
* It means not to forget what he has done for you in the past and what he is doing for you in the present
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day” (Deut. 8:18.)
People tend to forget the past when there is abundance. Don’t be a cheap forgetter.
Those who forget are fools and fools say in their heart that there is no God.
Invest in God’s kingdom lavishly not meagerly.
* Pay your tithe constantly and promptly. Malachi 3:8-10 Your tithe opens doors for your blessings
Service the altar God is using to bless you expensively and sacrificially.
* Don’t let your blessings take the place of God in your life otherwise you will pay for it painfully.
Some people stay away from the church just because their spouses visit them while in courtship. Courtship is not a time to go about cooking different kinds of delicacies for your fiance. Reserve the strength until after your wedding.
*Refuse to add excuses to what God is blessing you with. Your excuses cause divinity to frown at you and your blessings. Your excuses draw you back from accessing more of the blessings; Excuses are silent killers of a prosperous life
MEDITATION: God’s mercy endures forever.
PRAYER:
1. I refuse to be ungrateful in the name of Jesus
2. Help me to drop excuses when it has to do with showing gratitude to God and those He is using to bless me in Jesus name
