TOPIC: THE CROSS AND THE REWARD

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Rom 8:18)
It is true that man cannot escape the challenges of life which the Bible refers to it as “the sufferings of this present time”, because they are part of the things that mold us into maturity, making it possible for us to respond to life with active responsibilities.
Responsibility is what separates a mature person from a child, maturity makes you not repeat past mistakes of life, its keeps you focused on your purpose and calling, it makes you not murmur on your duty post because it gives you a mental picture of your glorious future.
It does not matter the negative stories you may be hearing or the frightening experiences or shortages you notice in your finances, let your confidence be drawn from the fact that the Bible refers to it as “light affliction” meaning that the glory of your future has more weight than whatever you are passing through right now.
You should be engaging in an extreme mode of thanksgiving because your tomorrow is heavier than your today by reason of the blessings that are waiting for you.
MEDITATION:
I position my thought pattern to align with the glory that God has prepared ahead of me.
PRAYERS:
1. O Lord, the strength of my salvation, protect me from being swallowed by affliction in Jesus name.
2. O Lord grant not the desire of the wicked over my affairs and my family in Jesus name.
