THE REFINER’S FIRE

“But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness (Malachi 3:2-3)
About 450 Prophets of Baal gathered against the only true prophet of God.
When Elijah could not take it again, he asked them to come and prove their ministry by calling on their god to send down fire. They called on their god and got tired without result. But the God of Elijah who answers by fire performed a miracle that made them realize the powerlessness of their god.
The refiner’s fire is a holy flame that comes as a combination of God’s word and His spirit to announce the just.
* It is the fire that causes acute distress in the heart. This has nothing to do with physical pain, but a drive for righteous living and soul-winning.
* It is the dimension of fire that sanctifies the spirit and soul causing the righteousness of Christ to have a practical expression in you. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14. Salvation without sanctification is a joke.

I am processed by God’s word.
PRAYER:
1. Holy Spirit, give me the meekness to go through the heating process in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, deliver me
from generational captivity in Jesus’ name.
