THE FISH GATE
SATURDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2022
Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly, And said, I cried because of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. (Jonah 2: 1-2)
Sometimes we find ourselves in the belly of hell simply because of disobedience. Disobedience is characterized by delay, affliction, regrets etc.
Don’t give God the cause to use affliction, torment and hardship as machinery to push you to obey His instructions. Obey God’s voice promptly – what he wants you to do, how he wants you to do it, when He wants you to do it and where he wants you to do it.
There were people at the bank of the sea when the fish vomited Jonah but they did not run because they were used to the appearance of the goddess. Jonah was carried by the goddess of Nineveh.
Before Jonah was thrown into the sea; God had already prepared a fish to swallow him. Like Jonah, you will still go to where He wants you to go though not as a human being but as a fish if you choose not to obey promptly.
May your disobedience not cost you your destiny before you realize it in Jesus name.
MEDITATION: God’s mercy is all around me.
PRAYERS:
1 God, enable me to follow your instruction to the latter in Jesus name.
2 I cancel every demonic plan to frustrate me through disobedience in Jesus name.
