Topic: SEIZING THE MOMENT
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. (Luke 19:39-44)
Everyday God makes available to us opportunities, but we miss them because they don’t come in the manner we tend to expect. Divine opportunities do not locate us based on our religious routine.
Time waits for no man, all that you do with time today determines your tomorrow. All great achievers and successful people are those who have been able to gain control over their time by identifying and seizing the moment. Time is life itself. your time is as precious as your life, don’t waste it.
WHAT DOES SEIZING THE MOMENT MEAN:
- Having personal knowledge and experience as well as knowing the ways of the Lord.
Some people have historical experience when it has to do with God. But When you know God experientially; you will know when He is passing by.
- Righteous Risk Taking: To be a kingdom risk taker, you must be a man of faith. There is never going to be a time without the storm of life. Therefore weather through the storm (2corin.5:7).
- Having a good and godly imagination about the Lord, His kingdom, His house and His servants
(Nahum 1:9; 1:11)
- It involves the spirit of punctuality: Punctuality will never be until faith, hope, passion for God and the things of God are in place (2Chro.20:20-24)
- Having a servant heart (Psalm 89:20-24)
- Meekness and Humility (James 4;6)
- It involves being led by the spirit ( 5:16) To walk in the spirit means walking in the Word(1 Cor. 2:10)
- Have an obedient heart. Most times we obey God according to the negative content of our heart
MEDITATION: I refuse to depart from the instruction of the word of God pertaining my life, career marriage and ministry.
PRAYER:
- By the authority of Jesus I command every spirit of disobedience that wants to make me depart from the ways of the Lord to be consumed by fire in Jesus name.
- By the power of the Holy Spirit I receive strength to remain strong in this kingdom race in Jesus name.
